Who Made Your Clothes?

by Louise Davies | April 24, 2015

It's two years since the collapse of the Rana Plaza factory in Bangladesh where 1133 people died whilst making our clothes. Fashion Revolution is a campaign to change the garment industry, fighting for fairer working conditions for workers and ensuring that such a tragedy never happens again.

Sadly, not only are the families of those workers killed in the disaster still waiting for fair compensation, but the industry has not changed significantly either. Workers are still suffering abuse, late payments and low wages.

Buying fair trade ensures that workers are given decent working conditions, stable contracts, fair wages and a safe environment. We're proud that many of the clothes and jewellery that we stock actually has the name of the garment worker written on the tags, so you can know exactly who made your clothes.

If you support fair working conditions and the Fashion Revolution, get on Twitter and let us know Who Made Your Clothes? #FashRev
