Who: Catherine Barr lives and works in Hay on Wye, the home of Eighteen Rabbit! She studied Ecology at Leeds University and trained as a journalist. She worked at Greenpeace International for seven years as a wildlife and forestry campaigner and has a long-running interest in environmental issues.
    Why: This beautifully illustrated picture book will be read and reread, emphasising the importance of our natural world.
