Tagua Seashell Earrings

What: Beautiful yet subtle stud earrings made in Ecuador but inspired by the great British seaside!

How: The earrings are hand carved from tagua (also known as "vegetable ivory"). The artisan selects a Tagua nut which is as close to the desired finished shape as possible, the nut is then formed using a variety of sanding processes and polished to achieve a smooth surface. 2cm x 2xm with sterling silver fixings.

Who: Handmade in Ecuador by Magdalena and Albert who earn a fair wage and have regular work as a result of this collaboration.

Why: These beautiful creations are supporting an amazing creative community in Ecuador. By choosing vegetable ivory, you are also helping support the worldwide fight against poaching.
